I hold this picture of my mother with such profound pride. On this day, she was invited to share her journey of 2 years sobriety to her home group. During her preparation with much nervousness, she would ask me “ Babygirl, what am I gonna to say”. I often replied , “ Tell them the truth Mommy...

When my mother transition into the ancestral realm in Sept 2015, she accomplished 10 years of sobriety. I watched my mother rebuild her soul. What stands out the most is witnessing her courage to be uncomfortably raw as she found ways to forgive and heal herself.
I am confident in knowing that her transition was my transformation.
